I want to help make Newton the greatest city it can be. Through planning and oversight the city has limitless potential. I hope to help tap that potential.

I also hope to bring another voice to the table. There is a large group in the population of Newton that has no voice. These people feel disenfranchised. They do not believe that change can occur so they have stopped trying to affect change.

We must also get the High School project under control. The city has some fiscal issues that need to be addressed before we can build such a luxurious building. Having been an educator I do not see how the overspending on one building in a school system will help MCAS scores, SAT scores or getting our students into the schools that best suite them.

I hope that the Fire Fighters contract is resolved before the upcoming election. The Fire Stations need to be tended to. It is utterly disrespectful to ask the men and woman that put their lives on the line each day when they show up for work to work under these conditions. These men and woman deserve better and I intend to help them get it.
